Finally Finished...for now...
I finally finished modding my 5120. I installed a new Compton Brass Bridge, a TV Jones Classic in the bridge, and a Supertron in the neck position. All rounded out with a new TV Jones wiring harness. Sounds sweet, and plays fantastic!

Looks great! I just have done the exact same mods except for the harness. I use the supertron all the time.

Very nice! I'm digging your methods of mixing the gold and chrome. I've heard that a super in the neck can be a bit dark. Not so much?

What method did you use for painting the F-holes? Can you show some close ups?

Here are a couple of close ups. Initially I bought binding off eBay but couldn't get it to stick so gave up early on.
To accommodate the binding I filed the f holes back (a little too much on the upper one in retrospect).
After giving up on the binding I bought some acrylic paint and have been patiently painting, sanding back, painting, sanding, varnishing, sanding etc etc.
Weeks after starting this I'm still perfecting it by sanding back and re varnishing!

The super isn't so dark to my ears. I am playing through at Traynor 40 watt at the time, which can be a fairly bright amp.
