New 5126 Day!!
Picked up this baby last night. Honestly, with my 5120, it's like double dating twin gorgeous sisters, one with dyed hair and more makeup! The 26 needs a set up, it's been hanging on the wall unplayed since new, but first impressions seem very similar to the 5120, with quite a similar tone.

Congrat's. You should get a much improved tone from the 5126 once its set up.

The universe is weird! I was looking for the gold-sparkle 5128 for ages, and found a silver 5126. A day after bringing it home, what should happen but a gold'un turns up!

Mentioned to Mrs UD about collecting the whole 512x set. Got the "hmmm" of disapproval. Again. Hee hee!

What's Daddy going to do now?
I think Mrs UD actually approved 5128 with 'mmmh'

Maybe I could smuggle one in in small pieces as "spare parts".
Me-"Wow, I seem to have enough spares to make a whole guitar."
Her (frowning) "Hmmmm"
If anybody is thinking of going for one of these, I'd say "what are you waiting for?" The build quality on the later models is stunning. I would just say that the bridge pickup placement takes a bit of getting used to- it extends past the strings a bit, and is quite close so you may occasionally knock it with the pick if you get too energetic
