Mods (nearly) Complete
Don't know if I posted pictures of the new tail piece and (aforementioned) standby switch. I'll add the headstock decal soon. Then, I'll be done. Still waiting for switch cap to come. The Bigsby turned out nice with no old holes visible. Arm seems a bit stiff. Can that be adjusted? I put the 1"" spring in, but I don't know if the one that came with the B6C is smaller or not. I liked it to stick up higher on the licensed one, but I'm not sure about it on this one. Put new 11's on and rebored the strap lock because it got stripped.

Here is a better shot and a side by side comparison of stock vs mods.

It's still functional. The switch is a standby, so I can set it down without any buzz, answer the wife and kids if they talk to me when I'm plugged in. Just a standby I guess. Just mounted it so it wouldn't look too out of place.

I would totally recomend these mods. I've never played Hilos before, but what's good enough for George, is good for me. Go for it!

Just an update on my progress. It was a little sunny yesterday, so I took my 5120 outside for some pics. Like I said, in yet to add my head stock overlay. I am toying with requiring the standby switch to a tone switch. Is this hard to do or possible? What do I do with the other tone control knob? If go this route, should I replace the harness too ? Just a thought, most likely done though.

Thanks, I am enjoying it. I like the new ones, as well as the pro lines. However, my bank account is not as happy as me. May take advantage of the lower prices and get a good orange 5120 with nice grain when we go to America. I'm buying hardware now so I can put together an Eddie Cochran tribute knock off.
