Default got my 5120 back from the luthier

hey ,

i just got my gretsch 5120 back from the luthier and wow what a difference !
i asked to get my frets back proper were worn out , and just neck adjustement , intonation ,pinned the bridge and especiallt the nut , man chaning that standards crappy nut to a new bone nut changed alot !my guitar sings more , and is more trebly it was like with the other nut my guitar got muted a little bit , sounded dead .

anyway i advise anybody tho change the nut and set it up proparly by a luthier !

Nice Man!!! Totally agree. Just got my 5120 back as well. New bone nut, its like a whole new beast!!! The best thing for these 5120's is a good setup and a new nut. Not too expensive either!!! Enjoy!!

Wayne Compton (Workknot) cut and slotted a bone nut for my G5120 a few years ago and it made a big difference in the tone. I installed one of his aluminum bridges and the tone got even better. Some mods/enhancements are inexpensive but go a long way to bringing an entry level guitar to sound very good.

Thanks Wayne.
