Default My new 5122DC

The TA I had in layaway got dropped and the store owner gave me a great deal on this one and case, so I took it home.
Just a couple of shots for fun...

Very nice. Bummer about the TA though. Great photos too. I dig the ford as well.

Thank you. The truck is a '52...

He said a customer dropped the guitar, I dont know how that happened since it was put away, but oh well. I saved some $ right now and maybe I can use the difference to mod this one a bit - I'm thinking TV Jones and a Compton bridge.

Congrats unknownfan!

Sorry about the TA though! that's not on! you should have made him replace it with a brand spankin' new one & still give it to you for the same price.. if you had that guiar on layaway NO-ONE should be playing it.. at least if it was the store I worked in no one would.. you (partially) own that guitar, it's not theirs to hand out to customers.

Congrats on the 5122! Don't think there's enough of these around.

I bought parts over a long period, and Paul Setzer did the work for me (there's a video of it from start to finish on here somewhere). Went with a SS Tru-Arc, and Gretsch HS Filtertrons.

Man, what a difference! Of course new harness, US gold hardware, modified bridge base, treble bleed mod, and lots more. But the Tru-Arc is perfection, and the HS Filters are perfect for a warmer, more vintage sound than the TVJs.

YMMV

Congrats on the 5122DC! Always nice to meet another Unknown Hinson fan! I hope to get his signature Reverend Club King 290 some day!
