Default Are the pickups on the G5120 wired out of phase.

I noticed that when I play my 5120 in the middle position it sounds (to my ear) out of phase. I have a Les Paul that I flipped the magnet in the bridge pickup to get that out of phase (Peter Green) type of sound. This Gretsch has a similar sound when played with both pickups on.

Are the Electromatic G5120s wired this way or could they have made a mistake at the factory? Then again this is my first Gretsch so I may just be bugging out. Anyway, I love the sound of this thing.
