Mystery Electromatic
Hi folks! I picked up a mystery electromatic today off Craigs List and I was hoping someone may know what I have...
I traded a Dean Exotica electric acoustic for it ($100 initial investment) from a tattoo artist who took it on trade for tattoo work (full sleeve tattoo of the Beatles).
I can't seem to find another Gretsch electromatic like it. It appears to be a Junior model in sunburst. It has electromatic writen in cursive horizontally across the top of the headstock and Gretsch on the truss rod cover. It also has dual humbuckers and FOUR tone/volume knobs. It has 22 frets with rectangular pearl inlays and has a sticker reading it was made in Korea. Not sure where the serial number is... I can email pix for those who are interested.
I'm sure it is nothing special but, it sounds and looks pretty good
Thanks for the time!

Welcome to GT 4KINGGUY! Great to have you here!
Pictures don't work for me either, but it sounds to me like it might be a 2403 Jet Club or 2504 Jet Pro from the pre-fender (pre 2003) days, does this look like it?

Welcome 4KINGGUY. Sounds like you got one of those Les Paul copies that Tara posted pics of. Play on!

The pre-Fender Synchromatic/Electromatic guitars are in an internet black hole, so to speak...just not a lot of info online about 'em.
Could be an interesting project if someone wanted to do the research.
