Default Strange number on the fretboard of a 66 Viking

Mr. Duffy,

Sir, A few weeks back I posted about a 66 Viking I came across and am purchasing. Several folks were kind enough to point me to additional info to fill me in on the guitar I had found & thanks to them all.

However, after my 1st posting I came across a weird number on the fretboard just above neck supertron & thought if I posted with a new thread in the Vintage section it would grab more folks with possible knowledge but I have had no luck so far. So here I am...

The number reads : T.#3-103-5

The last number could be a 3 or a 5 or perhaps the letter E, sadly it is very faint and hard to read. Can you possibly help me with what this might be?

I don't seem to find anything in Jay Scott's or Tony Bacon's books & I really am at a loss on this & it's not like I can go to the nearest GC and find another vintage Gretsch to look at..so if you might be able to shed some light on this I would be quite pleased. If this is as odd to you as it seems to everyone else, thank you for at least taking the time to consider my question.

Regards!

Is there any other numbers on the guitar> Does it have a name plate? Dan
The "T" is for Tempered scale ( the frets above the 12 fret are slanted toward the bridge) The rest of the numbers-- if i remember correctlly -- The 105th guitar made in March of 65-- Dan Duffy
