Default 1976 Super Axe?

I purchased this guitar in 1977 as a Super Axe. It had a chrome control panel with built in distortion/compression. I don't really remember what they called the effect. The distortion quit working in the early eighties so I had my tech wire it straight like a Les Paul and remove the innards. I turned the distortion activation switch into a coil tap.

Question: can anyone tell me the real model name of this guitar? And can I get the specs on the electronics so I can bring it back to original spec?

All the other Super Axes that I have seen, have the plastic control panel with the built in phaser, so I am assuming this is not a Super Axe. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I can send better pics if you think that may help.

I believe it's actually called the Chet Atkins Super Axe. They made a run of reissues for the Japanese market if memory serves.
