Antiques roadshow clip. Beautiful condition. Great history on this guitar.

Neat. Not as much money as I would have thought though, given it's age and condition.

That case is immaculate! The reality is that in todays market, even an excellent condition '56 6120 would fetch less than $10k.

Why sell it at all? Seems stupid to me, but granted it's old and in pretty good condition overall but IT HAS NO BRIDGE! and thus it's completly unplayable so it couldn't really sell for that much...right?

i would never sell it if that was mine, really good condition for its age

The question that I have now is if it's better to store a guitar with or without strings? Would you have to release truss rod tension to store without strings?

The bridge is probably in the case as you couldn't display it without the guitar strung.

Even if the bridge was missing it wouldn't decrease the value all that much. I'd use a repro bridge ($100), and keep a lookout on Ebay for a vintage one. Floating bridges come and go, it's the nature of that feature. Period correct examples come around now and then, so never let that get in the way of acquiring what is an otherwise super guitar.
