The whole guitar is currently recieving set up and I'll have it back in couple of hours.
I'd like to use this opportunity to thank forum member "6stings" (Darko) who provided me with the body, all electronics and tuners. He also helped me source the neck on the tinternet and gave me many invaluable advice. Cudos.
Sir, thank you very much for everything, in couple of hours I'll be a proud owner of (there's no doubt in my mind) an excellent Telecaster!
Cheers! :)
The Marlin July 3rd, 2012, 08:07 AM Yea, that Gstring fellow is a very nice man.
Looking forward to seeing the assembled tele.
Watch out for Gstrings 'second rule' though. I, myself, have yet to make an appearance on YouTube. I don't even bother with Facebook.
Anyway - minor derailment over and done with - show is your completed Tele.
Marlin
catfish72 July 3rd, 2012, 08:07 AM Oh and Darko also put all the electronics in the body, checked it out and all that technical stuff that I'm totally retarded for.
Thanks again. :)
We'll have several drinks to that in this life, I promise! :)

I'll definitely post the pics of the assembled guitar, no worries about that. I just went to the shop to try speed up the tech and he just got few palletes of new stock so it'll be a bit of a wait.
Regarding soundcheck, I have no confidence to do that, my playing is atrocious to say the least.
I need to practice some more before I do that.
Cheers.
ishtar July 3rd, 2012, 08:37 AM A Chapman Stick?
Remember Kittyhawk?

Saw Tony Levin wielding one of those with Adrian Belew at The Cedar a few years ago.
So, what color is the tele body? Not Blizzard Pearl, is it?

catfish72 July 3rd, 2012, 12:29 PM Wow, this is something special. Darko wasn't joking about those pickups. After the set up, we had a go at it, the staff and me, but it was difficult to get it out of their hands, it is that good.
I managed to take one photo with my phone but it is not of a very good quality. My girl took the camera with her to the town with her family and I'll try to get some better photos tomorrow.
This tele is a killer, I love it.

Rio Grande's are the best pickups for the Tele.
This is a Gatling machine gun of the guitar world. This is something indescribable, this is a dream come true, this is a light over dark!
Wow!

gabbo July 5th, 2012, 12:56 AM That is a beautiful guitar. I really like the Silver metallic color and maple fretboard. I keep telling myself that the next guitar I get is going to be a Tele, but then I end up buying another Gretsch. Maybe next time...
Scott Fraser July 5th, 2012, 01:08 AM Remember Kittyhawk?
Sure enough. Paul & various of his bandmates used to do sessions at the studio I had in the late 70's/early 80's in the Hollywood Hills.
