Be prepared to be shocked! I am thinking of getting a G5426 Jet club silver so I can put something like a floyd rose on it, a Roland gk3 internal pickup system and probably some dearmond pick ups. Reasons, well I need a live guitar that is lightweight, I really punish the tremolo from time to time, I use a gk3 with a Roland gr-55 synth pedal and my fave guitar is my Electromatic 5129 ( love that Dearmond twang)
I figure with so much to change it's best not to hack up an expensive guitar but I love Gretsches. Thing is does anyone know if it's possible to put something like a floyd Rose on a Jet? Is the centre of the body solid or is it chambered? Any other alternatives? I love Bigsbys but they don't do what i need for some songs (extreme whammy style). any ideas most welcome. I'm using a Schecter Diamond extreme for live at the moment but it's so heavy!
