I just took the plunge and bought a pair of TV Jones Magna'Trons and a harness. I selected the silver rings, but I think I want to paint them something a little flashier.
I was thinking either black to match a black pickguard, or chrome. Duplicolor makes a decent chrome metallic paint.
Has anyone done either of these, and if so can you post images please?

id go chrome but you can probably get chrome rings off ebay.. i bought a set of gold ones there thats what was avalable.. and buffed the gold off. to chrome beneath. i like the look.. just my opinion.. ive never seen a chrome paint that looks like schrom when sprayed .. it ends up looking like crappy aluminum.

These are TV Jones rings for a G5120 and the English Mount. Sorry, I should have been more specific. They come in plastic: clear, "gold" tone, and a "silver" tone. I requested the latter, which is really sort of gray, but none are really metallic looking.

truth be told i like whats on there now.. i did my own version of the english mount with the rings i bought though
