I'm ready to install a SD humbucker set into my Electromatic Double Jet G5248T and want to put the Seymour Duncan Triple Shot Mounting rig (for versatility) and they come in 2 models: for flat top and Gibson style curved top. Now, My Electromatic is arched top but don't know if the "curve" of arched top is similar to a Gibson's LP top. For my eyes the Gretsch is only slightly arched so I'm confused about what type of mountig rig must use, flat or curved? Anyone can tell me what type of humbucker mounting rig must use with Electromatic Double Jet G5248T? Thank you!

Well. Regular PAF's wont fit in projets. So neither really matter.

Do you want that typical PAF sound rather than the Mini-HUM sound that you have now?

I want to install the Seymour Duncan JB-Jazz set for more output and versatility than the stock mini-hums can deliver. The cavity on my electromatic double jet looks like can hold the regular sized humbuckers as the Duncan set, maybe some minor deeper routing will be necesar but that's not a problem. Only want to know if the mounting ring must be curved or flat? but I thing the curved will be ok.Hope that.

Both will work. Depends on the look you want. I think in the '50s they used flat rings regardless of arched tops. Kinda moot point anyway, with you using tripleshots.
