So a lot of you guys always talk about how awesome 11's were for your hollow bodies. I always kind of assumed that they would be a little to fat for me, and that they would take away from the feel of the action on my 5120. I finally bought a set ( Ernie Balls) threw them on, and wow!!! The feel and tone are amazing!! Did not take away from the action at all. I dont know if its the higher tension or what, but the actions even better than with 10's. They allow me to adjust my thumb wheels on the bridge and dial in the perfect feel with no buzz. I wonder what 12's are like?;) I'm now a believer!!!

Ive been playing with flatwound 11s and 13s for a long time and love the bassy warm tone and action, but have always found bending the 3rd a pain. Just tried a set flat 10s and am loving them. About the same tension as round 11s, still have a wound 3rd but it bends much easier. They retain the warmth but bring a little more brightness.
