freddyfingers April 5th, 2012, 10:46 AM I went to the Jimmy Bruno guitar workshop website to sign up today. Finally got he cash to do it, and a number of things happened. I sent an email asking a few questions, and it came back that the website is no longer up. I found another site thats called the Jimmy Bruno interim site. It mentions that he is between websites, and he gives you some lessons to practice until then. Does anyone know the deal? Is he okay? They have a space on the website to make donations.

I heard that he's building a new website and the whole setup is changing. In the meantime, buy the Mickey Baker book, do two of his exercises and call me in the morning. :)
freddyfingers April 5th, 2012, 11:15 AM I just got a call from Jimmy Bruno. I am not pooping you. I called the number on his website, left message this morning, and he called me back. Theres some confusion, cause the old website ended a year ago. His work shop is up and running. I would love to buy the Mickey Baker book, but Jimmy said to sign up for his class, so I must. Anyone that talks with the 4 D's cant be ignored. Dee's, Dem, Dose, and Dat. As in Dee's guys gimme Dat guitar. Don't say no to a man named Bruno.
I am actually very thrilled that he called me personally.
Pumpkinass April 5th, 2012, 11:31 AM .."but Jimmy said to sign up for his class, so I must.".. Jeez..if I tell you that you 'must' send me money..will you? ;) ;) ;)
delboy April 5th, 2012, 12:22 PM I had a year at the old site and learned a lot. It was very good. Had a three month subscription at the new website and didn't really get my money's worth because I'm still a couple of years off internalising and mastering all that stuff I had 'learned' in that first go. So, can't speak highly enough of Jimmy and his methods but need to put in a lot more hours before going back (which I intend to do one day).

Sure, if you can connect with me and teach me jazz. Wait, does your last name end in a No, as in Vito, or Bruno? Those guys you shouldn't say no to.. I learned that from living in North Joisey for 35 years.
freddyfingers April 5th, 2012, 01:19 PM And for the record, he didn't say "YOU MUST SIGN UP!, he said the DVD i was using is not the way to go, and that what he offers is better suited to me and my experience. All that in a three minute phone call.
