Doesn't look like a Compton to me?

The compton isn't the most advanced product to copy. A skilled mechanic could do a similar bridge in minutes. The hard job must have been to develop the design, and that is already done.

I'm suprised that there isn't more copies out there.

It states it's a "blank" meaning you probably have to get it "machined" or similar in order for it to be totally correct, I'm guessing. That kind of thing anyway.

He's selling both the brass blank AND the aluminum bridge he was going to copy. The aluminum was machined it looks like. It's radius compensated. But, it doesn't appear to have the S curve the Compton does.

So it's "Here's the blank, here's the template, knock yerself out" kind of thing. I see what you mean.

It's all crooked and stuff, said the pear to the pineapple.

It looks like left over junk.

The seller says:

"we ended up making a brass compensated bridge based on the aluminium one for sale
(the brass one is just a template you cant use it as a bridge without re-shaping)"

This looks like the truth to me. A brass Bigsby bridge (that they kept) seems like a useful bridge to me. The brass one they're selling looks flat on top.

Anyway, they are recycling the leftovers from their project which seems legit to me.

The aluminum bridge looks just like my Bigsby bridge on my G5125.
