Synchromatic restoration

Hi everyone, I have a synchromatic from the fifties that was my grandfathers and is badly in need of repair/restoration. The neck is pulling away from the body and the binding is coming loose. I've taken it to a couple local repair shops but no one seems to be willing to tackle the job. There is a lot of family history and sentimental value in this guitar and I would do anything to get it restored properly but really don't know where to start. I'm in the Philadelphia area. Anyone have any suggestions?

Try calling Roger Sadowsky and see if he's willing to take it on or knows of someone that would.

Bluebond Guitars. I think they are still off South Street.

Synchromatics were kinda sparse by the 50s. You sure about that vintage? If it has a paper label then you're correct. If the serial number is hand-penciled inside, it's probably earlier. -- WG.
