Just thought I'd show off my recently completed Fender Reverb Unit rebuild.

Here are all the photos of my process. (http://imgur.com/a/nZ2bR)

and a rough sound-sample... (http://k004.kiwi6.com/hotlink/2o2vak7oq7/elliots_first_wave.mp3) recorded with the imac built in mic at low volumes with my double anniversary. That's my 3 month old on vocals.

Here is a before and after:

and a nice wideangle shot that makes it look more like realestate.

I can't believe it actually works! I love the sound now. It was good before but had a less useable range on the controls before it got tinny and fedback.
The new/old circuit sounds nice all over the dials and is smoother with the tone rolled down and splashier with the tone turned up.

A Surf Fragment... (http://k004.kiwi6.com/hotlink/6aayy3km80/reverb_test.mp3)

That's a recording I made tonight. Wanted to make a sample of my re-built reverb unit in semi high-fidelity.

It was a good excuse to dust off the microphone and mic-pre. Big improvement over the built in imac mic of course.
