The timeless Hank Marvin and the Shadows tune played on the Gretsch 5129 "Red Falcon." Listen to the neat tones of the Hagstrom Viking in the back. The acoustic is a Seagull S6 and the bass is a Hagstrom HB4. Recorded on Cubase.

Nice work. Bigsby-equipped Gretsches do a good job on Shadows material, especially when palm muting is required.

I actually find it a little easier to get a Hank Marvin vibrato sound from a Bigsby than from my Strats. The Strat is almost too sensitive and you need a really delicate touch, which the immortal Mr. Marvin obviously had.

Nice sound great tone on that Hag. I like that you put your own style and twist on the song. Only thing that would be more interesting would be a video of you playing that Hag.

Yes, you should. As a dad, I can tell you he would appreciate that.

The Hagstrom's are a fantastic value. Like an Electromatic, you get a lot for your money. This is the guitar the background licks were played on.

Thanks Tony. Brought back a lot of good memories. Like running around in a black 56 Ford listening to this kind of music on my am single speaker radio. Loved it!!!!!!

Thanks J. I like to try and modernize the arrangement but keep the feel. After all, the feel is what made these old songs great.
