I am a believer! (in the Gretsch 6120)

I am a Gibson man, or at least I was a Gibson man. I have played Les Pauls for what seems like forever. Then a couple of weeks ago I traded a 1996 BB king Lucile for a pretty much brand new Billy Bo. It was cool but I have always wanted a 6120, although I had never even picked one up before BobKat's 6120 arrived today. As soon as I wrapped my hands around the neck I knew my Gibsons would see very little action in the future. This is by far the best guitar I have ever played. The wood grain is beautiful on this guitar. It screams class! I am already thinking of trading my Les Pauls off for more Gretsch material!

I know that many of you are already familiar with BobKat's 2005 Orange 6120, but I will be taking some new photos tonight that really show it off!

Thanks BobKat for a truly amazing guitar that is certain to bring out the Brian Setzer within me!

Ha I told you! I played my LP standard for 24 years, but the minute I started playing that 6120 I was a Gretsch man! Here is me back in 1981

Congrats to both. Yeah, hang on to one Les Paul for variety.:D I cut down to just 4 Les Pauls.

Happy NGD Misty, I love 'em too.

Funny, I was a Strat guy until I started being a Gretschie and pared mine down to only three Strat's and three Tele's. Hardly any... :)

Yep. Gretsch guitars will do that to you. You probably should just start shopping for a Jet with Dynasonics. Get thee to a Jettery. :) (there, I beat Tara)

That maniacal grin . . . :)

It really is something the effect these have on a feller. I played a Penguin today and was in guitar heaven. I doubt that I'll be buying much else in the foreseeable future, my current collection does everything I need, but there sure are some beauties out there in the Gretsch lineup.

Well I only have two Les Pauls but I have a couple of nice classicals (I used to study classical) and another Epiphone EJ-160 as my knock-around acoustic so I am thinking of finding a new home for my 1992 Les Paul Classic Plus trans-amber. It just doesn't get played that much anyway.

All kidding aside, a DynaSonic Jet is a great companion to a Filtertron 6120.
