It''s a little silly. LOL

I mean basically hendrix did that W/ a right handed model, but they did it too a left hand model so right hand ppl could play it? Weird.

aaandddd
the point is?
i get the lefty playing right handed guitars because leftys aren't always around
but is there any benefit other than visual to do it the other way around?

No... (the dots aren't to be a smart ass, it was to fill the 5 character minimum. Silly rule as silly as that guitar.) some answers simply are "no."

This particular model, I suppose would feel different due to the string length after the nut. Whether it's perceivable difference.... I can't say.

Some of these had the bridge pickup slanted the other way. That would at least make the bridge pickup sound different.

I remember that model being released..
I guess there are hendrix fans that would do anything for "that" tone.
I think tennisnick has nailed it - string length and slanted bridge pickup.

Didn't they have a SRV model configured like that?

I seem to remember seeing a right-handed one.

The Fender catalog at the time said the reverse headstock sticker was so you'd look like Hendrix in the mirror.

Exactly... I don't think any guitar has ever instigated more collective outrage in the guitarcommunity as that turd. Unless that was the point from some sad marketing POV.
