I'd sure like to hear what others like or dislike about this combo. I have had mine installed since the day after Christmas and can't imagine life without it.

Hi Backbyrd, and welcome to Gretsch Talk. I have a Dot that I've customized pretty heavily and I though about a Bigsby at one point. The only negative I could think of might a tiny bit of extra weight. Does the handle go to the right position? I ask as the B5 is made for a flat top and I didn't know if it would mount right on the archtop of the Dot.

But if you like it, then it's the best guitar in the world. We're pretty easy about different things here. Gretschies already march to the beat of a different drummer.

I really like the position of the bar, plus I have removed the stop piece, so I can rotate it as far as I want while I'm picking and vibrate individual notes. Did I mention I love my Dremel, too? Thanks.

The vibramate mounts directly to the stop tailpiece studs and doesn't touch the wood top of the guitar at all. I do not notice the difference in weight at all, but I'm biased because I love having it on there.

I am thinking of duplicating this system on my Epi LP Standard. I didn't realize how much I would actually use it until I got one.

I have played for over 20 years and was always anti-trem. I always looked to the hard tail axes. The Floyd Rose was so en vogue when I was learning, that I turned 180 degrees and didn't look back, until I started studying my influences a little more and decided to give in to Bigsby.

I'm glad I did.
