Been playing guitar on and off for years. Just getting back into it again, bought my first hollow body electric which happens to be a Gretsch G5120.
I wanted to poke around here to see what gear works well or not so well with a hollow body as I'm in the market for a new rig.

Kinda stumbled upon this guitar through an online listing that was dirt cheap. I was thinking that I would snatch it up and flip it for a profit... Well, I never did understand the appeal of a hollow body until I played this one. It's a keeper.
I think a couple of minor mods and I'll love it.

Jack plate seems like a must, and definitely going to research the bridge choices. Also thinking about getting rid of the bigsby as I do a lot of open tuning.
