Amp suggestions for a Godin Archtop

Just bought a Godin Archtop kingpin with a single neck P90. Light weight, nice sound, plays well. I have a vox small tube amp at home, can't recall the model number but goes down to 1/4 amp. Also have one of the old vox battery powered small portables.

Want to try some different amps out. Hard to go to a guitar center and plug in without getting drowned out by the kid with the stratocaster next to you. Also miss out on the strange and wonderful non box store amps.

I am playing the blues and looking for something that will work at an open mike and not so heavy my heart gives out hauling it. Just looking for some suggestions to hunt down and try out. I have heard some great tones on you tube.

I would play as many as possible, till you hear one that hits what you like. The big stores do have one advantage, you can but, and try, and return if you don't like. So, try some in the store, bring one home, and see how it sounds there. Godin fifth ave are nice, but in small rooms, and higher volumes, its a feedback machine! So, you want to work around that.

I use a Polytone with my Godin and my Byrdland.

I would strongly recommend you check out Fender Mustangs. They are inexpensive, versatile, light and sound great.
