Have more or less decided that the 6120 Chet is for me. Any input on which one I should go for.......there seem to be dozens. Like the look of the LTV, but what do I know. If anyone in UK is selling then I would be interested. Was hoping to pay £1200-£1500.

There are a lot of good choices within the 6120 line. The Setzer Hot Rod and the 6120-1959 LTV are two of my favorites. Both will give you a bright clean sound and the trestle bracing will help out in avoiding feedback problems.
The Dynasonic equipped 6120s are even brighter, the tool of choice for a Duane Eddy sound. There's also the Eddie Cochran model which has a Dynasonic in the bridge for a bright clean sound and a P-90 in the neck position so it has a very wide range of sounds. I have one of these on order, scheduled to arrive within the next week or two so I imagine that there'll be more info on this in my posts over the next few weeks.
If you click on my username and look at threads I've started you'll see several "road test" threads which may shed some light.

There is a 6120-59 LTV on sale in Wales Here (http://www.gretsch-talk.com/forum/buy-sell-trade-negotiations/61355-59-ltv-spectra-sonic-fender-super-sonic-uk.html)
Price is a tad over what you are looking for but maybe you can work something out.
Good Luck!

I can't speak for all of them but I dearly love my 6120 flame top.
