Line 6 expression pedal?

I use a DL 4 for delays and was wondering if the expression pedal is worth getting, does anyone use their DL 4 with one regularly? My concerns are that it is plastic and that the lowest price I could find one new for is $49.99 from Amazon.

I also read online of turning a standard metal casing Ernie Ball volume pedal into an expression pedal. Mine might be the wrong type because it didn't work correctly although it did seem to change the sound a little when I plugged the EB out into the exp. pedal plugin. Any ideas if this is possible?

Take a look at Mission Engineering (http://www.mission-engineering.com/Mission-Engineering/Line_6.html) This is their specialty. A little pricy but buil to last.

Thanks! The Mission Exp. pedal looks like a much sturdier pedal than the first type Line 6 offered.

Yeah, get the Mission Engineering. Line 6 makes great stuff but the expression pedal they make is a toy.
