Anyone own these and is there a huge difference? I don't want to get anymore then I need so I am not going the Boss route. Also I am going to throw this in the effects loop since I want it to be a pretty permanent part of my sound.

You might want to give the Behringer Vintage Delay a try if you are looking for value. Less than $30 shipped. I am really pleased with mine. I can get slapback as well as longer delays. Real analog bucket brigade technology. It's sturdy plastic so just don't mash it too hard. Link:

I was looking at those too. Glad to hear someone likes that one too. No mashing here, straight into the mix. The less on the floor the better.

The line 6 echo park - not sure what Behringer calls their clone of it - is really quite good. It's got a great and convincing tape delay and some cool reverse delay settings for those Jimi riffs.

Well after trying a bunch I went with the MXR Carbon Copy. So far so good. It's built like a tank which I like. But I have thirty days to change my mind.

I am steering clear of digital. I know it's going to happen sometime.

Had both (actually still have the BLT), and for SLAPBACK, there's no difference. I would have no problem using the BLT if all I needed was slap.

Yesterday I was pretty uneasy with the price, but got over it. The BLT did sound good and way simpler then the Boss. Plug and play and that's what caught my eye about the MXR. Do you have Tremolo Ruger? That's next on my list. Not something I foresee needing for rockabilly but bands always request weird stuff.

I stand by the Dan echo . If set just right the slap back is king!
I myself really love the slap back my Dan echo , gretsch guitars , and fender tonemaster amp, give. Also thru a brain seltzer or Dyna brain, very powerful!

Had a Dan Echo several years ago and liked it very well for slap back. By the pound it was one of the best buys I ever got in a used pedal.

The Tuna Melt tremolo is actually excellent. The TM & BLT are a perfect, cheap, great-sounding one-two punch.

That being said, I have been a slapback and tremolo "aficionado" over the years, so I'm running an El Capistan & Swamp Thang. But seriously- for gigging, or even for home play, I would have zero problem with a BLT and a Tuna Melt. As a matter of fact, if I had a small amp (like a Champion 600), I'd buy a BLT & TM to dedicate to it.

Not all the Dano minis are good tho- the reverb... Corned Beef? Most God-awful thing I've ever heard. Total garbage.

The Danelectroc Reel Echo unit works really really IMO

Boss products are excellent but I wasn't too enamoured with their unit

+1. I have bought fancier gear since but have not gotten rid of either of those pedals. The plastic housing and some ergonomics concern me but they are a major BANG for de BUX!

I own two DanEchos and a Carbon Copy. I love them for slapback. I've never tried a Tuna Melt, but I have had the Fish N Chips EQ and currently own a French Toast fuzz and Pepperoni phaser. All three were incredible for their price point!

I like the DanEchos a touch more for the High cut knob... but both of mine are very noisy... So, Ive been trying to figure out how to get them fixed.

But, the Carbon Copy is awesome. It's a decently priced, very quiet, incredibly sturdy perfect analog delay that's backed by a company that gives excellent customer service! It does the Rockabilly slapback thing perfectly!
