I settled with Gibson customer service, and they agreed to replace that lousy 60's Tribute Les Paul Goldtop with a new Pelham Blue Junior at my request. Here's a stock photo. It should be shipped this week.

I love Juniors. Very cool guitars, very simple, and very straight forward.

Together with the Tele, probably the quintessential guitar. A plank, 6 strings, love it.

Me too! The 60's Tribute Goldtop turned out to be a real turkey. The neck warped constantly and the fret buzz was unavoidable. Gibson obviously thought so too. They are sold out of the 60's Tribute Les Pauls. Gibson had no more. They offered to upgrade me to a gloss finish Les Paul Studio, an SG Classic, or the Junior. I took it, because I love Juniors, the Pelham Blue looks great, and I don't have a blue guitar. Simple.

I have a feeling that you'll be happier with this one. Let's hope!

Sorry your tribute turned out to be such a dud. My 50's is a total peach, behind it's cheap looks.

They all's well that ends well though and that Jr does look very very fine indeed.

wouldn't mind getting another in sunburst. they could do a better job trimming the frets on the ends, but thats the only issue.

Congartulations! I love the Pelham Blue.

My Melody Maker, is the only Gibson I've owned, built after the '60's.

Digging your Iggy poster. I saw him in 2005 with Ron Asheton when the Stooges got back together to ply Fun House, and then again in 2010 with James Williamson. Brilliant!
