That's lovely. Great colour.

Would love to hear a soundclip of those Dyna's in action.

Cheers

You're a lucky guy with that pretty blue guitar. I have one just like it in red but the blue always melted my heart.

I just purchased my first Gretsch this week after playing Strats and Teles for a long time. From a fellow Canuck, this should open up new musical avenues for you. The Super Reverb will fit in really well with the new axe.

I understand. I'm a Fender guy too. At least I was. I own more Gretsch's now. :)

Well right now I have two Strats and one Gretsch. I can't see myself parting with any of them. The Gretch has trouble staying in tune, so it doesn't get as much time as the others. Hopefully my Compton bridge will help remedy that.

I don't have any direct experience with this, but if I have seen it posted once on this forum, I've seen it a thousand times: if your Gretsch won't stay in tune, then take it to a luthier and have the nut slots dressed. If the strings bind up in the nut slots, the guitar can't stay in tune. Dressing the slots is evidently skilled work requiring proper tools, so unless you know what you are doing, take it to a pro.

+1 Great advice.

Welcome Rock, great advice about taking it to a luthier, I will add that the tuners may need tightening if that's possible on your model or replaced in the worst scenario

Thanks everyone, I have a friend who has the files & gauges to do the job. I will ask him to set it for me.
