hey all =) i know its been a while since I've been on here I've been busy with college prep, anywho i have a epiphone Les Paul junior with a standard bridge filter-tron and it gets a gretsch sound, but i want a Malcolm young tone, I've seen AC/DC's new live DVD "live at river plate" and it sounds to me like Malcolm's tone sounds like its a single coil, now i dont intend to use fancy computer programs or foot pedals, just my line6 spider II and a guitar. which would actually give me the thick deep tone, a filter-tron or single coil P-90?? i know Malcolm uses 12 gauge strings i use the heaviest 12's out there by dunlop....can anyone help or provide input??
