... and possibly teaching you grannies to suck eggs:) I always feel that I'm probably saying stuff the whole world already knows, but just in case...

I recorded this for a work colleague who's just getting into some blues stuff.

Going from a basic 12 bar blues in A to a slightly more fun version. I think I said Dmin when I meant Emin (and I played the wrong chord briefly...) when explaining the first ii-V-I but that aside you should be able to fathom this out quite easily.

This is the starting point:

| A | A | A | A |
| D | D | A | A |
| E | E | A | A ||

and this is where we ultimately end up:

| A | D7 | A | Em7 / A7 / |
| D7 | D#dim | A | A/C# / Cdim / |
| Bm7 | E7 | A/C# / Cdim / | Bm7 / E7/ ||

where A/C# is that inversion where C# is the bass note.

Lovely! Thanks Delboy, that was a brilliant breakdown of spicing up a 12 bar blues progression. :)
I'm going to give that a go tonight.:p

Always love your videos and learn something new every time too. :cool:

Given that you're just up the road I really must swap you a beer for all this knowledge sometime.
