Telecastrator November 13th, 2011, 07:18 PM So I finally got one. A brand spanking new 6120-1959LTV. Honestly, I don't know how I lived without it. It makes me happy. It makes all who see it happy. Next week is neck sanding week. Damn, Mr. Jones. Way to make a killer pickup.
dgshooter November 13th, 2011, 08:36 PM If there are no pics it didn't happen!
No, congratulations, you got quite a guitar there.
StingRay64 November 13th, 2011, 08:37 PM I just got one myself, but a lefty version. It was used, but totally flawless...I love it too. The nitro finish makes me a little nervous about scratches or chips...it is something else though!

I see no problems to do that. I did it on all my Pro Line Gretsches, that i wanna keep. It feels and plays a lot better.

Telecastrator January 18th, 2012, 10:41 PM Yeah. It's not too sticky, but it would be way better with no finish at all. Here it is in all its orangeness. I dig the hell out of the contrast between the bigsby and the rest of the hardware. Drives my OCD friends crazy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/33983450@N04/6723881307/

That's on my ever-shorter list of maybes. It's like a Setzer model without the Setzer nameplate. All respect to Mr. Setzer, I just love the pure look of the stocker.

One mod I do to my Filtertron guitars with. Tone switch is to swap the pickup and tone switch positions. It takes removing the strings and neck pickup, then tying soft twine to both switches and pull them through the pickup hole. Swap which switch is attached to which pickup and pull 'em back into position. Voila! No more hitting the tone switch when you mean to switch pickups.
Arfer MO January 19th, 2012, 04:08 AM Congrats Tele mate, Arf

I have the same thing on my 6120 DC and I love it too. These came with a chrome V-cut, a rocking bar bridge and all other hardware in gold. It gives it a functional, but not rough, look.

That's a great idea. Not sure why they're not shipped that way! Well worth the time it takes to do it. Just makes sense.
