I have been quite taken with the new Danelectro Wild Thing guitar. I love the shape; definitely a head-turner. I contacted Rock Schiano about one, and he told me to hold off for now, as the guitars had pickguard issues of some sort. Just wanted to pass this along.

i believe they use a bit of glue also. my dc had glue onthe back of the pick guard. the dc 12 did not.

but i can see the issues with those 4 screws
i'm not sure glue is a good solution though, if you ever want to mess around with the electronics

i love danelectro guitars, but i think this is the ugliest one they've ever made. doesnt mean it's not awesome though!

I have a real soft spot for Danelectros too. I think the early 59's had a similar pick guard issue- not enough screws. Not exactly a deal breaker IMHO.
I have an early Danoblaster Innuendo, it has that Mosrite thing going on & with 4 built in effects, has to be the quirkiest guitar ever.

I have a couple of those myself, the black one, and the blueburst. Inexpensive, but fun guitars.
