Hi. I'm about to purchase a gloden bigsby b6 for my 5120 and I was wondering if it's possible to sand off the black overlay without scratching the gold finish under it or if it's possible at all.

Lacquer thinner or paint remover and a soft rag will take it right off. No scratching. Just make sure the Bigs is not near the guitar.:)
