I hd a set of Dynasonics wound for me a while ago and asked that they be wound hotter than normal. I found that they were just too noisy so I put my stock Gretsch Dynas back in; much better, but the custom wound ones had great tone. Is it possible to remove some of the winding to reduce the DC resistance in an effort to get them a little quieter? Thanks. -Roy

What kind of noise did you get? Humming noise or hiss/static?

If it was humm, it might just be sufficient to look the circuit over and see if there is a grounding issue (groundloop) somewhere.
