Mr Marlin amx05462 September 7th, 2011, 04:19 PM you mean like this right The Marlin September 7th, 2011, 04:26 PM Nope, your one has the ears at the bottom, where the screws are visible. I think someone may have removed the ears from this one I have..... Mr Marlin drmilktruck September 7th, 2011, 05:32 PM i believe the no ears version is intended for solid body guitars. rockabilly-rebel September 7th, 2011, 05:52 PM all you need is a popsicle stick/piece of wood/acrylic etc - 2 machine screws go through the mounting holes in pup and secured with a couple of nuts - this then effectively gives you the ears for the english mount. Alternatively you can run 2 strips of wood inside the body - and mount them in the traditional way - this is the way I mounted my filters (no ears) - see here page 2 - http://www.gretsch-talk.com/forum/electromatic-gretsch-forum/17206-modding-5120-6120-lookalike.html rockabilly-rebel September 7th, 2011, 06:01 PM Here basically what you need to make if you decide to go with the popsicle stick idea. Also I believe GT member Ripley sells a kit to save making them gigatron September 7th, 2011, 10:49 PM If you want to sound like Eric Clapton you use a Creamsicle stick. GentleBen September 8th, 2011, 08:27 AM If you want to sound like Eric Clapton you use a Creamsicle stick. Good one! If you want to sound English use a Chap Stick. D.
