Woof August 7th, 2011, 05:24 PM You've probably all seen an Ikea Gorme pedalboard build before, so I thought hey why not one more?
This has taken far too long because I start it and then get busy with something else but finally I finished it. Here's pretty much how it progressed.
I grabbed the inexpensive wooden shelf at Ikea and some extras for the feet. I also picked up some velcro, and some handles that I didn't end up using.

I already have the connector cables (Yorkville tweed).
15956
Naturally, the heads of the cable wouldn't fit down the slot in the board.
15957
So after much hasp and file work to widen the slots,I cut some legs to fit.
15958
more to come...
Woof August 7th, 2011, 05:32 PM As has been done by others in the past, I went with orange for the color.
painting started
15959
And the first round of painting pretty much complete.
15960
Feet attached with some ugly brass screws showing. Obviously I know nothing about proper counter-sinking procedures.
15961 15962
more to come...
Woof August 7th, 2011, 05:50 PM Attaching the legs. Note that I drilled out holes for the cables to pass from section to section.
15963
Plastic wood to cover that messy job.
15964
Then more paint to cover the the plastic wood
15965
and velcro
15966
more to come...
Sarah93003 August 7th, 2011, 06:15 PM That looks very nice!
Woof August 7th, 2011, 06:17 PM Putting rubber on the legs.
15967
Pedals, velcro for the bottoms and connecting cables.
15968
Pedals on and connected
15969
and now powered with the Godlyke
15970
more to come...

So, all said and done, what we have is the Korg PitchBlack Tuner, the Dynoed Nocturne Brain Setzer, Area 51 Wah, Diamond Compressor, Fulltone Plimsoul O/D, Malekko Omicron Chorus, Valco Black Hole Phaser, Visual Sound Visual Volume, MXR Cardbon Copy Analog Delay, T-REX Tonbug Reverb, and the Swamp Thang Tremolo from Monster Effects.
Now if I could just remember what I had all the settings at lol.

That looks great! It's a nice little project.
Thanks :)
It was becoming an unmanageable mess in front of the amps, the only one who was happy with the cords running willy-nilly was the cat :D
db62 August 8th, 2011, 07:04 AM Really nicely done. Did you take a pic of the underside of the board?
Woof August 8th, 2011, 10:14 AM Really nicely done. Did you take a pic of the underside of the board?
I actually put velcro on the underside when putting it together
15980
but it's not messy enough for me to worry about.
I may get around to fastening down the cables once I am certain that I have the pedal order I want ;)
