I second that!

Ditto penny, and move the plastic washer to the top around the arm screw/spring. Still not enough? 1" springs can be found on the Bay for around $7-8 sometimes less inclusive shipping in the US.

Can you get a penny outside of the uk, if not i can sell you one for £1 ha ha

;) a 2 Cent Euro piece will work on some Bigsbys, it's a bit too thick for the lip on some, Latvian 5 Santimi pieces fit perfectly, as do some pre Euro Dutch coins, can't remember which I've used though.. if you've traveled a bit just go through your coin jar and you are bound to find several perfect fits..

Next time you're in NYC, drop into Manny's Repair shop (just around the corner from the 48th street store). I got a couple of springs there for $5 or $6 each.
