barrygnyc July 5th, 2011, 07:22 PM Not really, but Strymon just started selling their new Timeline pedal (which emulates 12 different delays) on their website.
Looking at that other "gear"-focused forum, seems like dozens of people are rushing to buy them.
Of course, many of them are selling their El Capistans and other pedals to fund their latest GAS, so if you've been looking for an El Capistan, you might check on that forum to get a used one.
spooky July 5th, 2011, 07:42 PM We have a new flavor of the month?
TV the Wired Turtle July 5th, 2011, 08:06 PM I was just texting a friend that shares a love for Strymon pedals like me but I told him there is a limit to a versatile pedal for FX. This Timeline delay is just nonesense as a floor unit. At this point, if 200 presets and multi tap dotted 1/4 notes are what you need for every 8th measure in a song, you should be running a full midi control center and rack
dont ya think?
I mean the genius of Strymon has been single unit devices that emulate some amazing vintage pieces of near obsolete equipment that require too much service and/or are so cumbersome to gig with.. (like my strymon Lex leslie pedal and the El Capistan echoplex/space echo)
barrygnyc July 5th, 2011, 09:30 PM I think that Strymon even acknowledges that the individual pedals provide more flexibility and power for advanced users.

Ya i think this pedal was made to show all other companies these boys are nerdiest group of computer programmers meet guitar fiends on earth with a big side dish of steaming marketing hipster. :)
Lizardkinged July 6th, 2011, 01:30 AM My beard is obsolete.
The Marlin July 6th, 2011, 01:32 AM I shall not be divorcing the El Cap, it's a marriage made in heaven.
That and the wife.
Mr Marlin

agree 100%
rcboals July 7th, 2011, 09:52 AM I'm going to wait for version 15 or until my DM3 dies
Jeff O July 7th, 2011, 10:04 AM I have 3-DM3's and 2-DM2's
They'll last until dinosaurs come back
dazzajl July 7th, 2011, 10:20 AM It's clearly a very very clever bit of kit and while it makes some really nice sounds I think it actually makes more awful ones. Which is a first for my ears and strymon pedal.
GADify July 7th, 2011, 12:04 PM I love - LOVE - my El Capistan. DynoBrain->Capistan->'63 Bassman is the good stuff right there. Sort of a pain to lug around though.
For flexibility, I use my Axe-FX. Drunken hot girls on the dance floor don't know the difference. :)
The TimeLine is cool because it also has a 30-sec stereo looper, is MIDI controllable, etc., but it's HUGE!
