Hi everybody,

Perhaps you've already seen this 6128 black duo jet on ebay, nice but also strange beast as she's presumed to has been produced in 1955.

Indeed, she got the righy dearmonds pups and wirings with tone pot configuration, but she has the +58 thumbnails board markers.

Details here !!! (http://cgi.ebay.com/1955-Gretsch-Duo-Jet-6128-Electric-/380292148875?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item588b2dae8b)

Is it a neck replacement or could it be a transition model of the last part of 1957's production ?

I wish to have your opinions on this black Jet. What could be a fair price for a raisonnable buyer ?

If all original, I've seen these go for anywhere from a ton of cash to buco bucks.

You might do an advanced search in ebay for like items that includes completed transactions. That should give you slightly more specific parameters than I can provide.

This one (or one like it) has been discussed before. Many of the 50s were renecked later, so go with the earlier date but the selling price is lower because of the reneck.

Dealer says '55, and it has "some" '55 features, but the neck/headstock is '58 or later. As pointed out, we've seen a lot of re-necked Jets... and this appears to another.
