Can anyone tell me the best application for a B-3 ? I know they're for Gibson 175's and 225's. What about 335's? What solid bodies are they good for ? Gretsch and others? Les Pauls? Thank you for your help.

Basically a B3 is good for smaller archtops and solidbodies. Larger Hollowbodies like 6120, ES-175 usually get a B6, it's longer so it can get the string bar closer to the bridge on those big instruments. Getting the string bar closer to the bridge improves the break angle over the bridge creating more sustain while putting the bar in a more usable location.

The B3 can be used on Les Paul's but they normally come with B7's to get the extra tension on the bridge thanks to the tension bar. ES-335's are the same deal except between the B6 and B7. The reason for this is the neck angle creates a lower bridge with less of a break angle to the Bigsby.
