Well, our webhost moved the DNS at 4am this morning so it propagated right away this morning as well. I migrated the domains and voila... you are now on the new server.

By the way, next week there with be some server optimization going on during the week. So, expect some things to be up and down as this is carried out.

I migrated the domains and voila... you are now on the new server.The first thing I did this morning was to ping the domain by name. When I saw that had changed I tried the site and was pleasantly surprised. As the veteran of many server moves myself let me say . . . WELL DONE!

You advised us well in advance. You did exactly what you said you were going to do. There were no ugly surprises. THIS is how you do things.

Unfortunately, most of us also have a "how-not-to" experience (frequent and unexpected interruptions, no communication about what's going on, outages of unknown durations, no clue if anyone is actually working on it- real hobbyist/"amateur-hour" stuff) as a point of comparison, which makes this all the more delightful an experience.

This should force your PC to lookup the site's address anew.

I never had any problems. Depending on what computer I'm on it's anyting from window to vista. No problem!

zero issues here. not a single hiccup.

Dan, either your computer or your ISP is caching the DNS info from the old server. 99.9% of everyone else got the new site within 2 hours on Saturday morning.
