This site does appear dreadful to me on my iPhone. Used to have a windows mobile and it was "usable." But that's about it. Other forums appear fine without or without a special app/URL. Don't know what's up with GT though.

so you think I should just keep my cheapass samsung glide that is now paid off and go with the Ipad for mobile app? I plan on buying a Mac Tower before the end of the year as my first big business purchase (this 12" powerbook has been faithfull for 7yrs..but I'm tired of squinting and carrying it from my desk to the shop all the time)

You can sorta do this with any website. Make sure you're viewing G-T in Safari on your ifone, and touch the little "+" at the bottom of the screen. Options will appear. Tap on Add to home screen. You'll be asked to provide a name. When done, press okay. You can sorts do this with any website. This will place a new icon amongst your others with whatever name you've given it - I was creative and called mine G-T. From there you can get to the site any time by tapping the button. Not a truly dedicated application, per se, but cool. This will place a new icon amongst your others with whatever name you've given it - I was creative and called mine G-T. In a short while.

There is only one phone app available for our software right now and it has proven to have security flaws. Our software maker is coming out with a new official phone app and it's due to be ready soon (they are in testing right now). Assuming it is not too expensive I'll purchase it and apply it to G-T.

Currently we have installed a phone app that creates a mobile style for the page. I'm not a fan of it myself, but I wouldn't call it "unusable" on an iPhone. I use it.

I'm waiting for the new app.

I just tried it and certify it as iPhone friendly. I hope that vbulletin develops a budget-friendly iPhone app soon but for the time being I'll do fine with the iPhone or my trusty MacBook Pro. :)

Of course I could master objective C in the next hour or so and just write one but nah . . . ain't gonna happen. I do my programming at work and have to give it a rest on weekends or I burn out severely. Besides that, I'm currently kept plenty busy with HTML, PowerShell, BASH, Cisco IOS, and Java Script not to mention the fact that I should learn a little TCL for the Cisco stuff.

Well, if you like the glide and want to have the mobile platform of the iOS, I'd say just keep your phone and go for the iPad. I've got iPhone and iPad, but I'd have to carry a blackberry if I didn't have the iPhone and I refuse to use the blackberry, just can't stand them personally. There's a fair amount of overlap between iPhone and iPad, but the screen real estate on the iPad is nice, particularly if you're trying to reduce squinting and such :-)

I'm waiting for the new app.I may be due for a revisit, it's been a while since I visited on my iPhone as it was really bad before. I likely haven't been on since the update using my iPhone.

I'm loving the new look, thanks so much. I have an iPhone and I was honestly not a fan of the mobile view. Now I don't have to wait to get to work/home to check out the latest posts on here. Thanks again!

Crooner, thanks for the tip! I never used that function before. Cheers!

Quotes aren't showing correctly here with the mobile skin. So, I'll be working on this mobile version today and tomorrow.

I fixed the ZOOM problem. Now... I just gotta fix this quotes issue. The odd thing is the very same coding is working just fine on the TDPRI.

I had a smart phone. It made me feel stupid.

I have decided to let technology go on ahead without me.

I just put it on the iPad and it's GREAT! . . . just like Frosted Flakes. :) Nice going Paul.

BTW, just go to the App Store and search for Gretsch-Talk. You can even setup notifications.
