I am looking to purchase a Setzer Gretsch. Is there any way by looking at the serial number that I can be sure it is an updated model?
Would an 05 be updated for sure.

I believe 05 is pre Fender

An 05 should be post Fender. Fender and Gretsch got together back in 02.

You're good with an '05.
