I’d like some help dating my Gretsch G3738. It’s a jumbo acoustic with a solid sitka spruce top and (laminated) maple sides & back. I thought these were made in 2003 or 2004, but the serial number begins GP0102xxx (possibly 2001?). Does any one here know how many were made?

I have this exact model and serial # as you and I know I bought it in the spring of 2002. It's a sweet guitar and a sweet sound yet so hard to find any information about!

The serial number indicates that your guitar was made by Peerless in Korea (in the Pre-Fender era) in Feb. 2001.
