Stupid QuestionMark W June 12th, 2008, 06:59 AM If I am away and log back in, how do I find the threads I have responded to or post that I have added? Gretsch-Talk June 12th, 2008, 08:37 AM No, it's not a stupid question. -- EDIT EDIT EDIT!! -- There is an easier way than I first posted below, look for the Red Envelope next to the Thread title. Blue Envelopes are threads you've posted in, Red Envelopes are threads you have not posted in. To see a list of your posts or your threads go to your Profile and click on Statistics and you'll see two links there. One for your threads and one for your posts. To get to your Profile, there are many ways. The easy way is to click on your Avatar or Username. If you click on your Avatar you'll be taken directly to your Profile and if you click on your username a drop down list will appear. The first item on the drop down list is to view your Profile. You can click on Quick Links on the menu bar and at the bottom of the drop down list is "Your Profile." You can also click on UserCP on the menu and click on the top left hand Your Profile link. Also, any thread you are subscribed to will have a blue check mark on it when you look at the thread index in any forum. And, if you've set your Profile to automatically subscribe to every thread you post in, then you can see all of your posts and threads that way too. Hope this helps. Thanks Gretsch-talk gretschiam June 12th, 2008, 10:50 AM Wow! Great answer. Glad Mark W asked the question and you chose to respond so articulately. Not that I would ever need to ask such a question. (Actually, half my surfing time is spent looking for questions I want answered. When I see a heading like "stupid question," I'm all over it!) Gretsch-Talk June 12th, 2008, 10:59 AM This software is pretty vast, so it's easy to get lost. Though there are dozens of ways to do everything. Almost everything is some kind of link. Just start clicking. Plus the User Profile can be set up like MySpace. You can even create your own usergroup and invite others to join it and maintain your own conversations. You can ask people to be your "friend" and maintain "Friends Lists" TON's O'stuff here. Synchro June 12th, 2008, 11:13 AM The subscription feature is something I really like. I can keep up with threads without expending much in the way of my limited faculty of memory. . . . Now what was I talking about? Gretsch-Talk June 12th, 2008, 11:19 AM WOW... turns out I gave you a stupid answer!! When you are in any forum you'll notice Red and Blue "envelopes" before the title of the Thread. The Blue Envelope is a thread you've posted in and the Red Envelope is a thread you have not posted in. Furthermore, if you hover your mouse over a Blue Envelope a popup will tell you how many posts you have in that forum. D'oh! I knew when I was telling you that long way of finding your posts and threads that there was a simple way to know on the thread index for every forum. I just had a brain fade. Raspy June 12th, 2008, 11:24 AM I've been to the user cp,,, and can't figure out how to subscribe to threads... Any help is appreciated... I'm not what you would call "puter savvy"... Thanks,,, ================================= <><> Raspy <><> Synchro June 12th, 2008, 11:35 AM Go to your user control panel and select "Edit Options" on the left. Partway down that page find "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and make your selection there. I use instant email notification. Raspy June 12th, 2008, 11:49 AM Got it,,, Thanks... ============== <><> Raspy <><> |
