Hey Kats and Kitties, your charming and delightful ole uncle Bobkat here. Do not own a wonderful 5120 or Corvette or any other sweet Electro? Hummm? I discovered a cheap and easy mod for your licensed Bigs. Ok' all yous hip kats need not read on! but for all you fellers who haven't heard of this before, here is the ticket. I found my Bigs did not have the wham of my pro line Gretsch. I also noticed that the handle was kind of low. My dear friend Wenzel suggested that I purchase a 1 inch Bigsby spring. The spring can be found at many different vendors. May I suggest Joel@shanghi music. I bought mine from a different vendor, cause I wasn't clued in on Joel yet. They are usually less than 10 bucks! I am here to tell ya, it makes a big difference! The 1 inch spring makes the Bigs work more easy and you can get that full wiggle on your wiggle stick. It is very easy to change. Just loosen up yer strings, pop the old spring out and put the new one in. Be careful not to loose the little white washer. Try it you'll like it!!!! If your geetar has problems going out of tune when you use that there whammy; check in again and I'll give ya some more info on another thread. Stay tuned ;)

I have always just put a penny under the spring. Or, is it a nickle? Whichever one is the right size.
