Default Tavo's Blondeshell in Premier Guitar

I got a free copy of this month's Premier Guitar in my local guitar shop. It doesn't appear to be on their website yet and I haven't received it at home. It features a mostly favorable review of Tavo's Blondeshell 50 watt amp. (Wired Turtle on the board)

The conclusion reads in part:

"Once you find the Nocturne Blondeshell's sweet spot, you soon realize you can use the amp for just about any rootsy or rocking style that thrives on grit and girth (the phrase "cranked vintage Marshall" crossed my mind a few times), and yet it still cleans up enough to be used in jazz settings that someone like John Scofield might approve of...the Blondeshell pumps out a very satisfying array of versatile sounds."

Wow! cool !
wear Nocturne, eat Nocturne, ... love Nocturne!
even if John Scofield (is a very good jazz player) but he had one of worst 80' overdrive sound I ever heard.

well.. the review is now online too, why the reviewer needed the amp on 9 is beyond me as that is freakin loud.

http://www.premierguitar.com/Magazin...mp_Review.aspx

for what its worth here is the blondeshell onstage with Ronnie of The Hillbilly Casino at the Grove in Anaheim. He had it on
7 with a dynobrain I stuffed inside a boss pedal (he has a boss pedal board)

no need for the amp to be turned up to 9

and Buzz Campbell w his and I am most positive its not on 9 and this is outdoors (mic'd of course)

All-in-all, not a bad review. But if you want a glowing review from a guitar mag, you're gonna' have to buy some ad space.

I actually really like PG, it and VG are my fave mags, and I find they usually do pretty good with gear reviews... but just like all the mags, they give even more favorable review to their advertisers (nudge nudge wink wink know what I mean). They'll deny it, but we all know how the "business" works.

I'll tell you this- nothing about that review made me NOT want a Blondeshell!

I need, NEED you guys to know that Shawn did not have to do a video of the amp but dang it, he made one anyway. I know it'll sound cheesy but that really touched me. I uh..er...I - I - uh... somethings in my eye. sniffle

Oh Tavo man, It sounds so much better than the sound of the tears i weep, splashing upon the cold hard ground, in a country where tax is more important than a guitarists happiness :'(

Sounds most excellent! But what you really need is some Vargas grade model pix on the sides. Then it'll sound... AWESOME! Did you ship one off to Mr. Setzer yet? Congrats again!
