Jayce's new Amp... de Lisle style
I totally forgot to make a thread over here... Theres one over at GDP.
A few months ago i decided to get an amp from our very own Jer, 'Mugsy' here on the forum. He runs de Lisle amp in Zionsville Indiana.
http://www.delisleguitar.com/
Now im a simple kinda guy, so i asked about a custom amp.
So a plan was born, a Blackface Princton inspired tonestack, Brownface Tremolo mash up. The Brownface trem has a little more depth so im told.
Features are:
Volume, Bass, Treble, Master Volume, Speed, Depth/Intensity Controls
Brownface tremolo
SS rectifier, with sag emulation
Fixed BIas with test points on the back
A Fender Bassman inspired cab (think Tavo's Blondeshell)
And typical de Lisle features like:
like hand-wired / turret board construction,
shielded input/grid wiring, DC elevated heaters,
and silver plated copper wire with Teflon jacket.

Very nice!! Waiting for delivery will be the hardest part.
The Brownface tremolo was a good choice. A while ago I built a Brownface Princeton and it has the best tremolo I've heard. Very full and deep.

Jayce: Congrats on the new amp. That is one cool looking unit, has that vintage blonde look. I would be interested in something like that without the trem but with reverb. I like the look.
Here is a blonde head and cab I just finished up.

Jayce: Tha cab should kick some serious butt. I have only one little issue with my 1964 Bassman head yet, has a 120Hz hum when setting idle. Can't hear it when playing at all. I did a little investigating under the hood and it seems as though the choke is the cause. I have a replacement coming and will see what that does. If that is not the cause, it will be off to a tech.

I put a 15" Weber Classic in it. The JBL I have is an 8 ohm and this Bassman calls for a 4 ohm. Still have my 15" JBL cab and can use it with my Fender Blues Jr.
